dearVR PRO 2 is the all-in-one spatializing for professional audio productions, offering state-of-the-art binaural, Ambisonics, and 35 multi-channel loudspeaker output formats up to 9.1.6.
Its ultra-precise early reflection and reverb engine add another layer of immersive experience, leading to true-to-life sounding productions that put the listener in the center of the sound.
Direct access and total control
Place your listener in the center of the sound! Drag your mouse around using dearVR PRO 2’s graphical XYZ-pad to position audio sources anywhere in the immersive soundstage surrounding the listener. Behind or in front, above or below, to the left or right, closer or farther away.
dearVR PRO 2 enables you to position stereo tracks and easily alter the stereo image using the width knob, making the plugin the perfect bed-spatializer for advanced stem productions.
Vivid virtual acoustic environments
dearVR PRO 2 provides 46 virtual acoustic presets that are perfectly suited for professional needs. Choose from many various room models– from a small car to a large church – each offering unique spatial imaging and depth.
The filter module, consisting of a high- and low-cut filter, expands the versatility and reduces unwanted rumbling or harsh frequencies.
Real-Time Auralization
Early reflections, caused by sound waves bouncing off their environment, provide crucial clues to a listener about where a sound is coming from.
dearVR PRO 2’s Real-Time Auralization feature adjusts the timing and directionality of early reflections dynamically as you alter the acoustic characteristics of the virtual environment or as you pan a sound around in space.
Patented Clarity feature by Sennheiser AMBEO
The Clarity algorithm allows you to minimize colorations resulting from the binaural rendering and individually adjust an optimal balance between the externalized spatial perception and the overall tonal preservation.
This can be especially useful for musical instruments and the human voice and paves the way for a barrier-free transfer to regular stereo loudspeakers.
Head tracking with SPATIAL CONNECT ADAPTER
Besides the already established connection to the dearVR SPATIAL CONNECT VR controller, dearVR PRO 2 can now be connected to any third-party OSC head tracker.
Using the included SPATIAL CONNECT ADAPTER application and a compatible OSC head tracker, you benefit from an extended head tracking control and a much more natural way to judge immersive productions.

You can use dearVR PRO 2 with any stereo or mono source. The spatializer works perfectly with regular microphones, direct signals, and virtual instruments. Just insert dearVR PRO 2 as the last plugin in your plugin-chain and place the audio in a three-dimensional space.
dearVR PRO 2 can produce Ambisonics signals from any mono or stereo audio source.
To convert and monitor content already recorded in Ambisonics, such as the output of the Sennheiser AMBEO VR Mic, you can use our free plugin
dearVR AMBI MICRO.
The answer depends on your output format, but for the most part, no.
Binaural: you can listen to your binaural mix without any additional processing. Just plug in any standard pair of headphones.
Multi-channel speaker output: Nothing additional necessary as long as you have an appropriate speaker setup, just route the output as appropriate.
You don't have a multi-channel loudspeaker setup, or you want to check your mixes on the road? Use dearVR MONITOR to listen to all common speaker setups, from stereo up to 9.1.6, in a virtual mixing room using your headphones.
Ambisonics: You will need an additional plugin to listen to your mix, as Ambisonics always requires decoding. Fortunately, we make available for free dearVR AMBI MICRO which can easily render Ambisonics to binaural audio suitable for listening to on headphones.
